Dodger

Dodger is a very special boy that came to us earlier this year, he was caught by a volunteer after someone reported seeing a stray cat with a broken jaw running around for several days.  Our vet assessed him right away and felt he would be a candidate for jaw surgery to try and wire the bones together to heal.  He did very well - his jaw is offset slightly because the fractures were quite severe and the vet did their best to get it stable.  He can eat well but may require dental work in the future on the side that doesn't chew kibbles.  His little tongue sticks out all the time.  He is a happy, very loving sweet boy who is great with other cats.  He may try to run outside so we are looking for a loving home that will monitor him closely so he doesn't escape as he wouldn't fare too well on his own again.  He also may develop early arthritis in that jaw so a new owner needs to be diligent in watching how he eats/his comfort level and taking him for regular veterinary check ups.

He did get an awesome home to spend his last months and was loved very much and is missed every day.

May he rest in peace at the Rainbow Bridge.
