Snowball

Sweet Snowball - she was Happy Cat's official first trapped cat in 2003.  Found in downtown Strathmore, Snowball had nobody looking for her and she was a skinny and sick, grumpy10yr old cat.  Over the years she remained to be a little cranky, allowing the volunteers to pet her only on her own terms.  She was diagnosed with a heart murmur the first day she seen the vet, over the years it progressed as well as heart disease and this past year she became too weak and we made the har decision to send her to the Rainbow Bridge.  Snowball will forever remain in our hearts and thank you Snowball for teaching us so much about cats!!

Big Boy

Big Boy was the second cat we took in when we started over a decade ago.  He was a wild boy and he taught us so much.  He was such a presence and it doesn't feel the same now that he is gone.  Thank you Big Boy for everything, we will never forget you!

Loves other cats. Big Boy is on the quiet side.

What a sweetie, very gentle, clean & loving. He jumps up on my bench lays down, rolls over and wants his tummy brushed. Big Boy is amazing with other cats, he has made friends with all of our resident cats.

Nick

Good with other cats Nick had been fending for himself for at least a year in a residential area of Strathmore. He had been seen off and on by many people but wouldn't allow anyone to come close to him. The winter of 2005 he overcame his shyness in hopes to land himself a nice warm home. For several weeks he had attempted to enter a home every time the door opened. Once this happened we finally got him! Nick was a challenge at first due to his tough nature he had no reason to trust us because people had chased him away for so long. Nick has been with us since Christmas '05 and has proven that he did indeed come from a home at some point...he has really shown us his true self! He will let us pick him up and play with him, he loves his toys and does great with the other cats now.
